We are transforming the way we deliver and run our technology here at Lloyds Banking Group! We’re developing creative solutions, adopting cutting‑edge technologies and moving fast to better serve our customers. We want to do all of this safely, to make sure our systems are there when our customers need them. So our new technology has to be highly resilient, available and responsive. It has to be able to recover quickly when things go wrong. We have to understand any weak points, and make sure we can fix them. To do all this we need to manage risk better. We want to make sure technology risk is described in the right way, owned by the right people and gets fed into the right decision‑making forums. We don’t want risk to be a set of processes, we want to bring to life the pros and cons of tech decision‑making, and allow senior leaders to really understand the impact of tech risk to their customers. We want to use operational data to tell us how we’re managing risk in real‑time, and whether our exposure is going up or down. And we want to make sure the exciting new tech we are adopting has technical guardrails in place to make it easy for engineers to do the right thing, and hard to do the wrong thing.
Our focus is to ensure we’re inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. It’s why we especially welcome applications from under‑represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
