OTE up to £49k p.a - (includes 1 in 4 Saturdays @ time and a half)

£1000 signing bonus! (direct applicants only)

Salary

• Salary up to £24 per hour
• Working a rotating shift pattern 0600hrs to 1430hrs / 1430hrs to 2300hrs
• 1 in 4 Saturdays 0700hrs to 1200hrs @ overtime - time and a half

We’re looking for a hands-on Technician Supervisor to keep our workshop running smoothly and our customers on the road.

Working closely with the team in order to create high levels of morale and focus to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and with excellence in quality. Effective communication with the Workshop Controller and CSRs to ensure that technicians have valid job specifications and time budgets prior to work commencing. Ensuring that customer expectations are managed at all times by working with each stage of the Genuine Volvo Service process. Maximising the shifts performance through effective problem solving, coaching & development.

Required Competences

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Workshop experience – ideally in trucks/buses – with some supervisory know-how
• A strong communicator who can get the best out of a team
• Organised, proactive, and customer-focused
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence a big plus)
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians in their daily activities
• Ability to coach and provide support and guidance to your team of technicians
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both written and verbal
• Strong questioning, listening & information gathering skills
• Ability to work in an organised & methodical manner ensuring that all daily tasks are completed
• Ability to adapt approach in specific circumstances to ensure a positive outcome
• Ability to understand & analyse technical issues & propose appropriate solutions
• Ability to delegate work to the appropriate personnel
• Proficiency with GDS and Impact systems, specific to the GVS process stages
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
