Construction Instructor / Technician – Witney Campus

Salary: £27,166 - £27,820 per annum

Hours per week: 37
Weeks per Annum: 52
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day
Location: Witney Campus
Contract type: Permanent

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and well‑organised construction instructor/technician to join our thriving team at the Construction Skills Centre, Witney Campus. As our department continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated individual passionate about working in the education sector and supporting students in developing practical skills in electrical and plumbing areas.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the workshop by developing students’ practical skills.
  • Supervise students, order materials, take stock and perform general duties to keep workshops to a high standard.
  • Work within a team and adapt to the needs of the department.
Essential Experience
  • Qualified to a minimum of level 2 in a recognised construction trade, ideally in plumbing or electrical.
  • Willing to support across all trade areas we offer, including plumbing, electrical installation and wood trades (training and support will be provided).
  • Good communicator and enthusiastic about working in the education sector.
  • Confident and enjoy working with students of all ages, especially those aged 16‑18.
