Job summary

A manufacturing business in Middlewich is looking for a Technician to ensure high availability of equipment and respond to conveyor system issues. The ideal candidate should have experience with conveyor systems, good communication skills, and a basic understanding of safe working practices. Responsibilities include maintenance logging, promoting safety, and supporting continuous improvement. The position is part-time with a pay rate of £14.00 per hour, working in shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications & computer literacy required.
• Good level of communication skills necessary.
• Understanding of safe systems of work expected.
• Experience with conveyor systems is essential.
• Experience in planned preventative maintenance programmes needed.
• Experience with MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to conveyor system jams and stoppages.
• Reset emergency stop buttons as required.
• Log issues and complete maintenance records.
• Promote safe working practices and escalate H&S concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure high availability of equipment for operations.
• Conduct routine cleaning of automation equipment.

Performance Objectives

• Respond to conveyor system jams and stoppages
• Reset emergency stop buttons as required
• Log issues and complete maintenance records using computerised systems
• Always promote and maintain safe working practices, escalating H&S concerns as needed
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by reporting recurring issues and suggesting solutions
• Ensure high availability of equipment to support warehouse operations
• Conduct routine cleaning of automation equipment in line with hygiene standards

Person Specification

• Basic qualifications & computer literacy.
• Good level of communication.
• Understanding of safe systems of work.
• Experience with conveyor systems
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance programmes.
• Experience with MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems and their technical components. (Highly Desirable)
