Job description
Job Title - Technical Supervisor

My client is a global leading provider in facilities management and they are looking for an Technical Supervisor to manage and oversee one of their prestigious banking contracts located in Canary Wharf. The Supervisor will be responsible for all FM building maintenance within the facility, whilst managing a small team of engineers, health and safety & client relations. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and have a strong understanding in M&E maintenance.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage a fully integrated facilities management contract across the client's site, encompassing hard services.
  • Provide leadership on all FM service delivery and act as a subject matter expert.
  • The single point of contact for all Facilities Management activities on the site, communicating daily with clients and senior leadership representatives.
  • Ensuring Work Packages are complaint and issued before any works are undertaken.
  • Establish and effectively lead a highly capable team who will deliver against the strategic growth objectives.
  • Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and commissioning to plant and equipment as confirmed in the contract scope.
  • Ensure job closures are completed in timely manner.
  • Comply with and implement existing business risk management procedures.
  • Ensure statutory and non-statutory logs are kept up to date.
  • Ensure that business critical engineering plant down time is minimal.
  • Manage 3rd party contractors ensuring they are site inducted and work to the site work permit system and procedures.
  • Report accidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure QHSE standards are maintained and promote best practice and site-specific core values.
Person Specification
  • Electrical Engineering Qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Previous experience in a similar FM role
  • Previous experience managing a team of Engineers, Clients & Subcontractors
  • Critical experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of a planning tool/application.
  • Knowledge and experience CAFM Knowledge and experience of MS applications & PC based applications
