Job summary

A managed service provider is seeking a Technical Project Engineer with expertise in cloud and infrastructure for a hybrid work role. Responsibilities include delivering technical solutions, approving installations, and providing pre-sales support. The ideal candidate should have proven MSP experience, strong skills in Microsoft technologies, and practical knowledge of Azure. Site visits are required approximately 5 times a month for deployments or audits, and the projects will span various durations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment.
• Strong foundation aligned with Microsoft certifications (MS-102, MD-102, MS-700).
• Hands-on experience managing SharePoint environments.
• End-to-end Microsoft 365 migration experience.
• Skilled in managing Microsoft 365 tenants, including security and compliance.
• Experience with MAR or EDR tools.
• Practical experience in deploying Windows Server environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure services.

• Approve installations, upgrades, and change requests, ensuring robust plans and contingency measures.
• Provide technical pre-sales support, proposals, and presentations.

• Mentor junior technical staff and contribute to their development.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's standards and change control processes.

The individual

• We would be looking for someone who had written great deployment guides or internal use and for client use.
• Lead discussions around change management.
• Great with client interactions.
• Worked with Autotask, ConnectWise or ServiceNow, as our action plans and ticketing systems are done via these systems.
• Someone who likes testing new projects, as we often trial new tech, gadgets internally before launch.
• Site visits will be around 5 per month – for onsite deployments or audits. Project Engineers will work between 7 to 10 projects per month. Projects last 1 to 3 days and a few that are between 5 to 10 days.
