SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Technical Manager, within S&S Plastics, part of the Eurocell Group of companies based in Sutton in Ashfield.

The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing injection moulding, technical and maintenance activities, leading and developing a skilled team and implementing CI initiatives to reduce manufacturing down time.

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive knowledge of injection moulding and tool design with experience of leading, mentoring and developing a technical team.

WHAT OUR TECHNICAL MANAGERS DO:

• Work closely with Management and SHE team to implement and embed best safety practice
• Ensure all Technical team colleagues are properly trained in safe work practices, LOTOTO and emergency response protocols
• Assign tasks, set priorities and monitor work quality to achieve manufacturing and maintenance goals
• Manage workforce planning, including staffing levels, shift scheduling and holiday planning to ensure continuous coverage
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support their technical development and career growth
• Plan, coordinate and oversee all technical and maintenance activities
• Ensure timely and effective response to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies to minimise production downtime

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR TECHNICAL MANAGERS:

• Previous experience working within a fast paced Manufacturing environment
• Experience working within Injection Moulding and Tooling
• Ability to understand and interpret Technical Drawings
• Excellent communication and leadership experience
