Job Title: Technical Manager
Overview

We are seeking a Technical Manager to oversee compliance and maintenance standards across a high‑profile contract. This role requires strong technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire systems, ensuring statutory and contractual obligations are met. You will lead on technical performance, provide guidance to site teams, and manage third‑party delivery to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure asset compliance with statutory, legislative, and company procedures.
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Investigate and manage claims of defect or asset failure.
  • Collaborate with operational leads to drive service delivery improvements.
  • Contribute to financial performance through operational efficiency and subcontract procurement.
  • Oversee planned maintenance and reactive works, ensuring correct standards.
  • Conduct asset surveys and produce technical reports for pre/post‑handover.
  • Monitor updates to record drawings and O&M manuals.
  • Maintain compliance logbooks and ensure to CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Provide technical support to the wider team and attend technical meetings.
  • Undertake Authorised Person (AP) duties for systems such as HV/LV and pressure systems (training provided if required).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in a technical management role (essential).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Building Services, including Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, and Ventilation systems.
  • Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Experience with private sector contracts (desirable).
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and safe working practices.
