Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Fiber Deployment, Global Connectivity Infrastructure Development. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Amazon provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries. The Cloud infrastructure is built around Regions and Availability Zones with interconnected, redundant networking to support scalable, fault-tolerant applications.
How would you like to come be part of the team that builds Fiber to the Cloud? We are looking for a highly motivated, technically savvy Fiber Deployment Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (FD-TIPM) to help develop and scale one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. The FD-TIPM is responsible for managing technical, cost-efficient, and fast-paced construction project schedules to keep pace with and enable AWS Network growth. FD-TIPMs are empowered to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality, technically efficient connectivity solutions.
As an FD-TIPM you will be part of a creative and efficient team tackling challenging problems in modern fiber construction. The FD-TIPM is responsible for end-to-end network delivery and management of internal stakeholders and external contractors and partners, and may lead in construction management, fiber splicing, OSP design, ISP construction, or system installation/commissioning.
A day in the life
In this role, you will: take on projects with ambiguous scope and bring clarity to risks and requirements prior to deployment; formulate comprehensive project execution plans; work with external partners and internal stakeholders to execute your vision; ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries for internal customers.
