The Role

Technical Coordinator based at the North Yorkshire head office in Wetherby. The role involves coordinating architectural and engineering matters across site‑based projects from commencement to completion, handover and site exit, supporting the regional Technical team and meeting our business plan and growth objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Digest information to inform the preparation of Pre‑Development Programmes.
  • Instruct and manage all external consultants in the preparation and delivery of production information to an agreed scope, fee and programme.
  • Ensure all technical information is of high quality, value‑engineered and sufficient to obtain all necessary approvals, minimising risk and facilitating efficient site starts.
  • Manage the production, control and issue of working drawings and all associated technical information to all parties.
  • Submit and manage statutory enquiries, sewer connections and other section agreements, ensuring timely approval.
  • Submit and manage NHBC/building regulations and discharge of planning condition applications.
  • Maintain professional fee budgets on a monthly basis to inform ongoing financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparing sales brochures and conveyance plans.
  • Arrange progress meetings both pre‑ and post‑development; attend sites regularly to ensure cost‑effective development.
  • Assist in subcontractor procurement and monitor production information in collaboration with the Commercial team to uphold tight cost controls.
  • Liaise with all parties to resolve technical/construction problems.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant HNC/HND with post‑qualification experience as a Technical Coordinator for a residential housebuilder.
  • Good technical knowledge of construction practices and techniques within the building industry.
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and associated legislation.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
