Job description

Climax Studios was established over 30 years ago, we have an extensive history in developing all kinds of digital experiences across all formats, and we have won multiple awards along the way. You’ll be based out of our brand new, state of the art studio at Lakeside North Harbour set in stunning 130-acre landscaped grounds in Portsmouth.

We are looking for a Technical artist with the ability to integrate and contribute to the team creating innovative experiences. Supporting the team with in depth shader and post process knowledge. Proven experience in Unreal 5, technical expertise with Maya are certainly of benefit.

  • Troubleshooting art pipeline and providing solutions
  • Optimisation suggestions for all aspects of art within a game
  • Create and optimise material shaders and blueprints
  • Work closely with the code and art teams
  • Critique and iterate in a group
  • Follow and recreate established art styles
  • Reliably demonstrate an aptitude for the platform technology, asset discipline and pipeline processes
Requirements
  • Experience creating and optimizing shaders

  • Strong and versatile VFX skills
  • Experience in Unreal 4
  • Experience using Maya
  • Extremely quality oriented

  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
