Overview

I’m working with a really strong specialist brokerage in Warwick who are looking to bring in a Technical Account Handler. This is a non-client-facing role, so it’s ideal for someone who prefers the technical and operational side of broking rather than being on the phones or in meetings all day. The business focuses on medical indemnity and works with A-rated insurers, has an excellent reputation, and offers a stable, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Involve in the smooth running of all policy and operational processes.
  • Prepare and issue policy documents, check accuracy before binding, and handle all payment processes such as BACS, card payments, and finance agreements.
  • Reconcile insurer invoices, approve settlements, and ensure everything ties up correctly.
  • Produce Management Information (MI) – run weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports; prepare renewal information ahead of each cycle.
  • Track claims activity, update the system, and flag any items that need attention.
  • Complete general admin and operational tasks to keep the team working smoothly.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in insurance admin or technical broking support, ideally within professional risks or another specialist area.
  • Good knowledge of policy documentation, bindings and settlements.
  • Confidence working with data; strong attention to detail; good organisation.
  • Ability to manage own workload independently.
  • Experience with MI reports or claims is helpful but not mandatory.
