Working Hours

Days on a Traffic light system. Monday to Thursday 8am to 17:15 in green period, Monday to Thursday 8am-17:15pm and Friday 7am till 13:00pm in yellow period and Monday -Thursday 7:45am - 17:15pm and Friday 7am-15:00 in red period.

What will this role achieve?

We are looking for a Team Member / Stand In Machine Minder to join our Assortment’s department working day shift.

You will be required to stand in as a Machine Minder as and when required.

What will be your key deliverables?

You will need to work effectively with other team members in the department as well as the Data Contact on your line and also Advanced Team Members.

• Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching)
• You will be working on different lines with the department.
• You may need to work in the Co-Pack area.
• Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards.
• Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output.
• Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.

Stand in Machine Minder

• Carry out some pre-start checks.
• Ensure the product meets the correct quality and specification at the start of the shift and throughout.
• Understand equipment and machinery setup requirements.
• Complete changeovers according to procedure.
• Follow rework procedures as required.
• Monitor and maintain product consistency by adjusting some machinery settings when needed.
• Accurately complete all documentation to the required standard.
• Maintain factory standards safely at all times.
• Support the training and development of colleagues and new employees.
• Communicate directly with the relevant person to resolve issues efficiently.
• Replace film rolls on the wrapping machine or cartons on the carton machine

Essential Experience

• Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices and safety at work procedures.
• Can work well with others and be open to learning and change
• We’re looking for people who can work flexibly and adapt to change. You’ll get support to help you succeed.
• Experience operating a Wrapping Machine or Carton Machine would be advantageous

What does the recruitment process consist of?

Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude and a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 60 minutes to complete.

Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
