Job summary

Hampton by Hilton Newcastle is seeking a Guest Service Assistant to cover night shifts. The role is 16–24 hours per week across 2 or 3 shifts, including midweek, weekends and bank holidays. You will be a confident communicator bringing energy and a friendly, can-do attitude to the team.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience and a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences in a hotel environment. Training and perks are provided within a supportive Hilton program.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience in hotels, bars or restaurants is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in/out and handle bills and payments.
• Serve alcohol, soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks.
• Prepare and serve food from a limited simple menu.
• Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet.
• Overnight cleaning in public areas.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Working across all departments of the hotel including reception, bar & kitchen.
• Checking guests in/out and managing bills & payments.
• Serving alcohol, soft drinks, hot drinks & snacks.
• Prepare and serve food from a limited simple menu.
• Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet.
• Overnight cleaning in the public areas of the hotel.
• Helping guests & creating positive experiences.
• Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely.

You will have 'Hamptonality'

• Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

Useful Experience

• Hotel reception or similar experience in the hospitality industry.
