Female Team Leader Cheltenham

36 hours per week | Permanent | Must hold a full UK Driving Licence | £30,888 per annum

We are looking for a confident and experienced Team Leader to manage a dedicated support package in Cheltenham. This is a blended role, combining 12 hours of off‑rota leadership and management duties with 24 hours of direct support each week.

You’ll oversee and develop a team of support workers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality care is delivered for an individual living in their own home. This person lives with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, FND, and Gastroparesis, but this does not define them. More interestingly they have a passion for rehoming vintage treasures, creative projects, and gardening. Your leadership will ensure the team supports them to enjoy life to the fullest while keeping care safe, consistent, and person‑centred.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management (12 hours per week, off rota)

  • Lead and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback.
  • Manage staff performance, training compliance, and professional development.
  • Oversee rotas, care plans, risk assessments, and accurate record keeping.
  • Uphold CQC standards and organisational policies, ensuring safe and compliant practice.
  • Run regular team meetings, lead debriefs after incidents, and escalate to CCMs when required.

Direct Support (24 hours per week, on rota)

  • Work alongside your team to deliver safe, personalised support.
  • Promote and enable enriching activities that reflect individual interests and goals.
  • Model best practice and embed a strong person‑centred culture in daily care.
  • Build positive relationships with the individual and their family to support continuity of care.
About You
  • Previous leadership experience within health and social care.
  • Strong knowledge of Complex Care, managing multiple allergies, supporting behaviours perceived as challenging, and mental health support.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to make decisions and manage risk.
  • Based locally in Cheltenham (or nearby), with a full UK driving licence.
