Secretarial Services is one of the firm’s support departments and is responsible for delivering a high quality, consistent secretarial and administrative service to our internal and external clients.
To provide high quality and professional administrative support to UK Practice Groups’ Fee Earners and PAs. The post holder will be required to work as part of the PA Support Team (“PST”) as well as assigned practice groups as required. Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages is required. Training will be provided on the firm’s systems and document house style, together with an in‑house training programme tailored to our Secretarial Competency Framework, as well as other development and training opportunities which are encouraged to develop your skills and enhance client service.

Typical Team Assistant tasks include:
On completion of a comprehensive induction and follow‑on training, and at your manager’s discretion, you may be required to support an allocation of junior lawyers with the guidance of a PA mentor. This support will be provided either within your allocated group or supporting the PST team. While it is understood that the first few months will focus on training and on‑the‑job learning and basic admin tasks, there is an expectation that, as you gain experience and confidence, you will gradually take on more responsibilities to support fee earners. This approach ensures that you are well‑prepared and capable of handling these tasks effectively as you progress in your career, while also supporting your professional development throughout.

Sound knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grades 9‑4, including English and Mathematics
