Teaching Assistant Nursery Practitioner

Location: Northumberland

Start Date: January

Contract: Full-time

Milk Education is urgently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing, forward-thinking school-based nursery in Northumberland. This full-time role is based in the baby room and is ideal for someone with strong early years experience who can start quickly.

About the Setting

The nursery follows a blended approach to early education, combining child-initiated exploration with purposeful adult-led learning. Continuous provision is carefully planned so every child can access a rich, engaging curriculum both indoors and outdoors. The environment is communication-friendly, supportive and inclusive, helping children feel safe, confident and ready to thrive.

The Role

You will work with babies from around 9 months old, supporting their social, emotional, physical and early academic development. You will create warm interactions, encourage curiosity, and help children meet early milestones through sensory activities, outdoor learning and play-based experiences.

Key Responsibilities
