About the Role
  • Provide classroom support under the direction of teachers, helping to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
  • Assist pupils individually or in small groups, including offering support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), when required.
  • Help prepare and organise resources, assist in delivering lessons, monitor progress and support behaviour management strategies.
  • Promote positive relationships with pupils, encouraging high aspirations and resilience.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including break/lunch duties and supporting extra-curricular activities as appropriate.
  • You are caring, patient and motivated, with a genuine desire to help children learn and grow.
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational environment, or relevant transferable experience (volunteering, tutoring) is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Flexibility: able to adapt to different situations, support various year-groups and work as part of a team.
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) are preferred. SEN experience would be a strong advantage.
