Job summary

An educational recruitment agency in the United Kingdom seeks experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for a school in Lewisham. The roles involve supporting students with moderate to severe learning difficulties and may include personal care. Job description

Classroom Support are excited to be working with a SEN school in Lewisham who are looking to recruit several experienced SEN Teaching Assistants required to start ASAP.

The school supports children and young adults across both Primary and Secondary SEN settings with ASD, PMLD and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The environment and grounds are outstanding, and they also have a college site based in Lewisham nearby.

The school is made up of 5 different sectors and has several vacancies. If you have any of the below experience, I would love to hear from you.

Positions will start on a temporary basis with the possible option of going permanent after a set number of weeks working through Classroom Support.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience supporting students within SEN schools or candidates with strong experience of Autism or supporting children with Moderate to Severe learning difficulties.
  • Being of a kind, caring and compassionate nature.
  • Experience of moving and handling people and supporting children and/or adults with medical needs or PMLD is highly advantageous.
  • Willingness to provide basic personal care at times in classes that are personal care heavy.
  • Must already have or be willing to pay for a DBS and register it on the update service.

Pay rate is £90+ per day, paid weekly a week in arrears.
