A local primary school in Leeds is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a fixed-term contract until August 2026. The role involves supporting children, particularly those with additional needs, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and motivational skills, and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Part-time requests will be considered, making it a flexible opportunity to impact young lives positively.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, inspirational and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, welcoming village school.
This role is initially offered as a fixed term contract until August 2026. The standard contract is 27.5 hours per week. We would consider part time requests also
In addition to having a demonstrable understanding of the classroom role and responsibilities, you should possess a sound knowledge of working with, or caring for children, ideally combined with an awareness of policies and procedures relating to child protection. The ideal candidate will have experience or training of working with children with additional needs, ideally with a specialism in either Autism or Speech and Language.
