An independent educational provider in the UK is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support pupils academically and emotionally, creating meaningful learning experiences. Candidates should have GCSEs in English and Maths and a caring approach. The position emphasizes relationship-building and teamwork, aiming to create a supportive learning environment for pupils with special educational needs. This role offers a range of benefits, including life assurance and mental health support.
We're looking for Teaching Assistants who bring heart, patience, curiosity, and resilience. People who understand that relationships are the foundation of progress, who remain steady when things feel difficult, who see the child behind the behaviour, and who treat every new day as a fresh opportunity to grow. Being a Teaching Assistant at Red Moor is far more than being an extra adult in the classroom. You become a trusted presence – someone who helps create moments of safety, connection, and success for pupils who may not have always felt secure in education. You'll work closely with teachers and colleagues to create calm, structured, and meaningful learning experiences. Your role will be varied, rewarding, and impactful, supporting pupils both academically and emotionally throughout the school day.
Red Moor School is an independent special educational needs provision near Bodmin, Cornwall, offering tailored support for up to 60 pupils aged 5‑18 whose needs are predominantly SEMH and ASD related. The school opened in September 2020 and has recently undergone significant refurbishment to enhance its facilities.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
