Supply Desk are seeking a Year 2 class Teaching Assistant for a small Primary school near Andover

Starting from January 2026 on a long-term contract

Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30

£82-£95 per day (dependent upon experience)

A small village school nestled in the countryside is seeking a Year 2 class teaching assistant to support by working with small groups of children and individual children to thrive. There is a high percentage of SEND needs particular Social, Emotional and Mental Health, within this Ofsted Good rated Primary school.

Job Description:

• Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths, Literacy, Phonics, life skills and social skills or 1:1 with specific pupils and supporting their needs
• Supporting the class teacher with preparation and class organisation
• Enhancing learning experiences by giving extra time, resources and instruction
• Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
  • Location: Andover A car would be needed for this role
  • Start Date: January 2026/ February
  • Contract Length: Long Term Potential to become permanent
  • Hours: Part time 32.5

Individual Profile:

• Some experience working with children is desirable
