A leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing national Tax Consultancy team, based out of its Leeds office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected firm with a strong regional presence across the North of England and Scotland, known for its people-first culture, long-term client relationships, and high-quality advisory work.

The Opportunity

The Private Client Tax team operates nationally, supporting a diverse client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, trusts, and agricultural clients. Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Manager to play a key role in delivering and developing its private client advisory offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to private clients, delivering proactive tax planning and advisory services
  • Leading and attending new client meetings to identify and develop tax advisory opportunities
  • Managing and delivering private client tax projects, including reviewing work prepared by other team members
  • Providing technical guidance across areas such as personal tax, trusts, and succession planning
  • Monitoring work in progress, recoveries, and billing to ensure commercial efficiency
  • Line managing and developing Tax Seniors and trainees
  • Responding to ad‑hoc private client and tax queries from across the wider firm
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple offices as part of a national tax team
About You
  • CTA qualified
  • Strong experience in private client tax advisory, ideally within a UK accountancy practice
  • Proven track record of leading advisory projects and managing client relationships
  • Exposure to agricultural tax and trust matters (highly desirable)
  • Confident communicator with excellent client‑facing skills
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members
  • Full UK driving licence
