Job summary

A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Tax Manager for a 6-month contract, offering fully remote or hybrid working options in Welwyn Garden City. This role involves providing expert tax guidance, managing adherence to tax strategies, and supporting the UK&I Tax Director. Applicants should have a relevant finance qualification and extensive tax experience in a multinational context. This exciting opportunity offers competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant financial qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA.
  • Extensive tax experience gained within a multinational organization.
  • Experience in Transfer Pricing, UK R&D Tax Credits, and/or Irish taxes is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the integrity of the tax control framework and procedures.
  • Manage adherence to Group transfer pricing methodologies and tax strategies.

Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Tax Manager to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 6 months. This role can be either fully remote or hybrid working in either Burgess Hill or Welwyn Garden City.

Salary:

500 – 600 pd PAYE or .82 via Umbrella

Tax Manager Role:
  • Partner with the UK&I Tax Director to provide expert tax guidance and strategic support
  • Oversee the integrity of the tax control framework and procedures
  • Manage and ensure adherence to Group transfer pricing methodologies and implement Group tax strategies
  • Support the Tax Director in maintaining the relationship with UK/Irish Tax Authorities
  • Oversee tax–related processes for group and statutory accounts reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Your Background:
  • Hold a relevant financial qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA
  • Extensive tax experience gained within a multinational organization
  • Experience in Transfer Pricing, UK R&D Tax Credits, and/or Irish taxes is highly advantageous.
  • Strong project management, problem–solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely to non–tax stakeholders and senior leadership
