Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of personal and company tax returns.
• Review accounts for compliance with tax legislation.

Are you an ambitious undergraduate student looking for a placement year opportunity? We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us on a Tax Placement in our Lewes office for 12 months commencing July/August 2026.

This is a great opportunity to experience the role of a Tax Accountant first hand from our award‑nominated team of experts. You will have the opportunity to gain insights into personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory work within a structured and supportive learning environment.

What you can expect on a tax placement

• To assist in the preparation of personal, partnership, trust and company tax returns and computations for a variety of clients
• Assist on capital gains tax returns
• Reviewing accounts to ensure that clients are compliant with current tax legislation
• Assist the tax team with various submissions and payment deadlines throughout the year and senior members of the team with tax advisory work
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Assist with administrative tasks and marketing initiatives

About you

• A-Levels / BTEC / T-Level qualifications
• Studying a relevant course at University – Accountancy & Finance related is preferred but other courses will be considered
• Proficient use of Microsoft applications
• Hardworking & diligent
• Able to work independently on your own initiative as well as part of a team
• Ability to build effective working relationships

Recruitment Process

We will be holding telephone interviews and face‑to‑face interviews for this recruitment. The dates for these are as follows:
