A leading technology firm in Cambridge is seeking a Systems Engineer to conduct comprehensive testing of complex RF systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, ideally with a degree in electronics, and experience in manual and automated testing. Key responsibilities include stress testing, monitoring system performance, and documenting results to ensure quality compliance. This role offers potential for hybrid working arrangements based on project needs.
Complex technical systems require a barrage of tests to ensure robustness and functionality even when subjected to real-world environments. As their next Systems Engineer, you’ll be tasked to think like a user, operating these complex RF devices and stress testing these systems to their limits. Much of the work will be manual testing of CRFS systems including GUI controls, but there are also regression tests of firmware and software. This all needs to be carefully monitored and documented through their quality management system.
The role would suit someone in a similar role or an RF technician wanting to move into test engineering. As application area includes the military, interested applicants should be eligible for basic security vetting. Applicants should therefore have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. The company is unable sponsor or hire those on visas (spousal, student or similar).
The role would predominately be office based, although some hybrid working is possible when project work allows.
