Responsibilities
- Diagnose electronic and mechanical faults in Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles using brand-approved diagnostic equipment
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety
- Conduct detailed testing, coding, and calibration of modern vehicle systems, including ADAS, infotainment, hybrid/electric powertrains, and more
- Document technical findings, completed work, and parts usage accurately in the dealership management system
- Collaborate with service advisors and front-of-house staff to explain complex technical issues and repairs in clear, accessible language
- Keep up to date with Mercedes-Benz technical bulletins, training, and new technology rollouts
- Uphold all workshop health and safety and compliance standards
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing modern automotive electrical and electronic systems
- Keen analytical ability and a logical approach to problem-solving
- Relevant technical qualifications (IMI, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance)
- Ability to follow manufacturer instructions and use diagnostic tools effectively
- Strong commitment to delivering quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Adaptable, reliable, and eager to keep pace with the latest technologies and vehicle systems
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills within a dealership workshop
- Full UK driving licence
