In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing DFDS' virtualisation and Wintel environments across multiple locations. You will be responsible for

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily maintenance and monitoring of DFDS' VMWare and Hyper-V environments across various sites.
• Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for VMWare, Hyper-V, and associated Wintel-related issues.
• Driving continuous optimisation and technical ownership of hypervisor setups to improve performance and stability.
• Supporting the management and operation of DFDS' large-scale Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure.
• Creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation while offering guidance and mentoring to wider team members.

Key Qualifications

• Deep expertise in virtualisation technologies, particularly within VMWare (VCF stack) and Hyper‑V environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, combined with broad Wintel knowledge.
• Experience with storage technologies or cloud IaaS is a bonus.
• Eager to expand skill set and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, shifting environment and make clear decisions on priorities.
• Strong initiative, ownership, and proactive contribution to the team.
