Role: System Engineer
Location: Sandwich
Status: Temp to perm

Responsibilities

• Support the full product lifecycle across a diverse range of electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems
• Analysing and generating specifications for products and systems
• Supporting sales and business development with technical proposals and documentation
• Identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies for new product introductions
• Maintaining up-to-date systems engineering knowledge and implementing cost-effective solutions
• Undertaking customer and supplier visits as required
• Collaborate with engineering, product line, and commercial teams to analyse opportunities and support new product introductions

Candidate requirements

• Degree in systems engineering, physics, or electronics (higher qualification advantageous)
• Experience in systems engineering, electro-optics, or electro-mechanics (defence sector preferred)
• Practical experience in electronic design and FMEA analysis
• Proficient in systems analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, Octave, C#, Python)
• Strong mathematical skills and understanding of embedded C/C++
• Knowledge of defence standards (Mil-Stds, DEF-STANs), GIS, and control theory
• Effective communicator with a positive, accountable, and team-focused attitude
• Eligible for SC-level security clearance
