Are you ready to take ownership of sustainability across flagship projects in the UK with a rapidly developing principal contractor?

Irwin and Colton are delighted to announce that we are partnering with a leading tier 1 principal contractor to recruit for a Sustainability Manager. The role will include joining a rapidly developing environment and sustainability function, working on landmark new-build projects in the UK.

Responsibilities for the Sustainability Manager include:
  • Managing the sustainability strategy across landmark projects in the UK aligned to BREEAM and LEED framework requirements.
  • Ensuring the delivery of sustainability policy and compliance with legislation and regulations on site.
  • Leading the environmental sustainability program, working closely with key stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators, to ensure their sustainability targets are met.
  • Supporting the company's wider ambitions to reduce corporate carbon emissions.
The successful Sustainability Manager will have:
  • Demonstrable experience within the environmental and sustainability field within construction, civil engineering or a related industry, ideally in major projects.
  • Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
  • Proven experience with a range of sustainability topics and frameworks, including BREEAM
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas throughout the organisation.
