SURVEY CREW CHIEF

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

Position Type: Hourly

Compensation: $24-34 Per Hour

About Weygand

Weygand, a leading land surveying firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking an experienced Crew Chief to join our team. We provide accurate and reliable surveying services across various projects. This position will supervise one of our field teams and accurately and efficiently perform field work associated with our survey projects.

Responsibilities

Oversight

• Demonstrates ability to supervise field crews during various conventional, robotic and GPS land surveying projects
• Lead crew members to deliver quality and timely work
• Manage team projects through online database management system
• Oversee and manage field equipment needed for projects
• Organize, prioritize tasks, and direct safe, accurate, and efficient field survey data collection

Field Work

• Responsible for transportation to field sites utilizing company vehicle
• Meet with client or client representative for site-specific requirements
• Perform property boundary, topographical, ALTA and control surveys
• Operate Trimble and/or Carlson survey equipment

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a related field
• Ability to carry survey equipment in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Physically mobile and able to lift 50-100 pounds regularly
