A local support service is seeking a Support Worker/Personal Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal young man in East Kilbride. The role involves assisting with personal care and engaging him in community activities. Essential qualities include a warm nature and good communication skills, with a full driving licence required. This is a permanent part-time role offering a £12.60 hourly rate and involves working 24 hours a week. Training will be provided, making this a fulfilling opportunity for those looking to make a difference.
We’re looking for a caring, friendly and reliable person to join a small team supporting Graham, a young man living in the East Kilbride area.
Graham is non‑verbal and requires 1:1 support across a 24‑hour shift pattern. Your role will include helping with personal care, day‑to‑day tasks, and supporting Graham to get out and about pushing manual wheelchair– whether that’s attending social activities or enjoying a day trip. He loves being active and engaged in his community, so no two days are quite the same!
We’re looking for someone who is sociable, easy‑going, and ready to be a positive presence in Graham’s life.
