Job summary

acuity care is seeking friendly, reliable Support Workers to join a small team caring for a sociable gentleman living at home in Portsmouth who has a Spinal Cord Injury and complex needs.

You will provide 1:1 support, enable community activities, encourage social interaction, assist with communication, and help with routine household tasks to keep a calm, organised environment. All roles require Enhanced DBS checks and references.

Job description

We are looking for friendly, reliable and outgoing Support Workers to join a small team supporting a sociable gentleman who lives at home in Portsmouth. This person has Spinal Cord Injury and complex clinical needs - and they rely on a consistent team who truly understand them. He stays active, gets out in the community and enjoys activities and hobbies he loves. Interests & Hobbies Include:

• Watching football and boxing
• Following horse racing
• Community outings and leisure pursuits
• Social activities and events

What you'll be doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll play an important role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences.

Your day might include:

• Providing high-quality support on a 1 :1 basis
• Creating opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community
• Encouraging social interaction and promoting emotional wellbeing
• Supporting communication in the way that works best for them
