acuity care is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist an individual living at home in Penzance. The role involves patient, empathetic care for spinal injury and complex needs, with activities and companionship to enhance quality of life.

You will provide daily support, assist with mobility, medication administration where applicable, and help maintain a safe, engaging home environment. A caring, reliable approach is essential to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care and supporting individuals with complex needs is advantageous.
• Ability to work with spinal injury care requirements and medication administration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support on a 2:1 basis.
• Create opportunities for meaningful activities at home and in the community.
• Encourage social interaction and emotional wellbeing.
• Support communication in the way that works best for them.
• Help with routine household tasks to maintain a calm, organised environment.
• Assist with complex care needs and behaviours that may be challenging.

Pay rate: £14.78- £15.29 per hour- Weekly or Monthly pay available

Shift pattern:08.00am- 13.00pmand 08.00am- 21.00pm

We are looking for caring, reliable and confident Support Workers to join a small team supporting an individual who lives at home with their family in Penzance. This person has Spinal Cord Injury and complex care needs such as medication administration, catheter, bowel care.

We're looking for someone to come and get involved in his favourite activities like playing darts, attending local events or boat trips. You’ll play a key role in supporting enriching, meaningful activities — and your empathy and positivity will make a real difference in this person’s life.

What you’ll be doing

As a Support Worker you’ll play an important role in helping this individual live safely, comfortably, and in a way that reflects their preferences. Your day might include:

• Providing high‑quality support on a 2:1 basis
