acuity care is seeking compassionate Support Workers to provide 24-hour support for a young adult living in their own home with Global Development Delay, Autism, Visual Impairment and Emotional/Behavioural Difficulties. You will help with daily living, meals, and community activities while avoiding allergens around the resident’s cat.
Role requires teamwork with family and professionals, and a patient, empathetic approach to enhance independence and quality of life on a full-time, 24-hour rota.
Days & Waking Night £14.18 per hour & Sleep in £10.00 per hour (Weekly or Monthly pay available)
2 x 36 hours per week - 8:00am - 20:00pm & 20:00pm & 8:00am - You must be able to work Full Time with no restrictions
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and proactive Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing 24-hour support for a young adult living in their own home with Global Development Delay, Autism, Visual Impairment (registered blind), and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
The person you will be supporting enjoys baking, cooking, and going on outings in the community. They attend a local day centre once a week and share their home with a much-loved indoor cat, so you must not be allergic to animals.
Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:
