Support Worker

Care Connection, a division of The Best Connection are recruiting, experienced Support Workers, to support our clients in the Calne area!

This is a temporary role. As an Agency Support Worker, you will be covering sickness and holidays for our clients in the Wiltshire area. You will be supporting individuals with varying needs from those with learning difficulties and physical disabilities, to individuals who display behaviours that may challenge.

Overview

A Support Worker is required to deliver support within an adult's health or social care environment, supporting with daily living tasks or development of new skills. The tasks may be one to one with an adult or with other support workers or health professionals, they may be provided within the home and garden itself or outside in the community, equipment may be required for moving and handling or health tasks. A support plan on site must be followed for completion of tasks, safety, client communication and any end-of-life instruction where relevant.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver support in an adult health or social care environment, assisting with daily living tasks or development of new skills.
  • Work one-to-one or with other support workers or health professionals.
  • Support may be provided in the home, garden, or community settings.
  • Use equipment for moving and handling or health tasks as required.
  • Follow an on-site support plan for task completion, safety, client communication, and any relevant end-of-life instructions.
