Overview

Come and join Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust as a Band 3 Support Time Recovery Worker at South Kent Coast Community Mental Health Team covering Dover, Deal and Folkestone.

Qualifications

We need: Compassionate individuals with strong communication and organisational skills.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Responsibilities
  • The main elements of community mental health support work focus on collaborative working with service users to promote engagement and to facilitate an optimum level of independence and self‑management.
  • Our expectation is that you will endeavour to establish therapeutic relationships within which to address recovery goals in order to help service users to gain access to a range of resources and services to facilitate involvement and connection with the local community.
  • Work closely with occupational therapists and assist nursing staff with the effective functioning of a depot/clozapine clinic that will include well‑being checks.
  • Visiting people at their own home as required.
  • Completing Dialog plus assessments by telephone or in person.
  • Monitor and report on the mental state of service users.
  • Provide support to the service user, and identify their needs.
  • Opportunities to run recovery activities with Occupational Therapists.
