Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience within the care sector, ideally focused on mental health or Learning Disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the interests of Service User by implementing support plans.
  • Safeguard the rights and dignity of each Service User.
  • Conduct daily assessments of Service User's mental and physical state.
  • Support Service Users in building confidence and self-esteem.
  • Promote health and assist in medication management.
  • Help Service Users develop social skills and independence.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for experienced Care & Support Worker's to work in a brand new Supported Living Service situated in Guildford. We have multiple roles available, on both a Full‑Time and Part‑Time basis and covering Morning, Evening and Day time working.

We are looking for people with experience within Learning Disabilities and those who possess compassion, high levels of empathy and the ability to support vulnerable adults towards gaining independence. Key Features of the role
  • Maximisation of Service User (SU) interests by liaising with stakeholders; and implementation of each SU's support plan
  • Safeguarding the rights and dignity of each SU
  • Conducting daily assessment of SU's mental and physical state; updating associated records and informing management
  • Supporting SU's to build their confidence, self-esteem and their ability to manage their mental health symptoms
  • Promoting SU's health and assist in their accurate medication
  • Supporting SU's with developing social skills and future independent living
