Job description

Can you design and deliver a curriculum that doesn't just meet standards, but inspires a genuine lifelong curiosity in your pupils?

Do you have the data-driven expertise to track, analyse, and accelerate the progress of a diverse mixed-ability cohort?

Are you looking for a collaborative academy trust that prioritises teacher well-being and provides meaningful PPA time?

At Randstad Sheffield, we don't just "place" teachers-we consult with you. We understand the specific landscape of South Yorkshire schools, from the inner-city hubs to the rural village settings. By choosing Randstad, you gain a partner who will negotiate the best terms for you and provide the local insights you need to hit the ground running.

We are exclusively recruiting for a high-achieving primary academy that prides itself on its innovative approach to Key Stage 2 education. This school offers a supportive leadership team that encourages professional autonomy and creative lesson design. With a strong emphasis on technology-integrated learning and outdoor education, this is the perfect setting for an ambitious practitioner who wants to be at the forefront of modern teaching practices in the Sheffield region.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Delivery: Planning and executing high-quality, differentiated lessons that challenge all pupils, particularly those identified as "Greater Depth."

  • Assessment & Tracking: Using formative and summative assessment data to create precise intervention maps for pupils underachieving in core subjects.

  • Subject Leadership: Taking responsibility for a foundation subject area, overseeing its development and resource allocation across the whole school.

  • Collaborative Planning: Participating in trust-wide moderation and planning sessions to share best practices and ensure curriculum consistency.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Leading professional parent-teacher consultations and providing regular, transparent updates on pupil attainment.

  • Holistic Development: Creating a classroom culture rooted in mutual respect, resilience, and the Academy's core values.

Requirements for the Role
  • Mandatory Certification: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant UK degree.

  • Teaching Track Record: Evidence of "Good" or "Outstanding" teaching practice in a previous Key Stage 2 role (ECTs with strong placements are encouraged).

  • Curriculum Knowledge: Expert understanding of the National Curriculum and statutory KS2 assessment frameworks (SATs).

  • Organisational Excellence: The ability to manage a busy workload, meet deadlines, and lead a team of classroom support staff.

  • Commitment: A steadfast commitment to safeguarding and the promotion of British values within the classroom.

Benefits
  • Incentive Scheme: Receive £300 in Love2Shop vouchers for every teacher you refer to our Sheffield branch.

  • Career Mentoring: Access to specialist career advice and interview preparation for permanent academy roles.

  • Ongoing Learning: Unlimited access to our library of accredited CPD courses.

  • Dedicated Consultant: A single point of contact who knows the Sheffield and South Yorkshire market inside out.
