Wehave an exciting opportunity within the Leeds Dental Institute for positiveand enthusiastic people to join our existing Outpatient Administrationteam. You will be joining a friendly,supportive team of administration staff, secretaries, doctors and nurses.
Weare looking for friendly, flexible, and self-motivated individuals who areable to work in a fast-paced environment. It would be an advantage ifapplicants possess supervisory skills, excellent communication andadministrative skills and are able to work as part of a team, as well asusing your own initiative and work to deadlines. The post holder will berequired to manage and supervise members of the administrative team inaccordance with Trust policies as well as provide any training and support development.
Itis a requirement for the applicant to have experience dealing with members ofthe public in a working environment and this being within a healthcaresetting would be an advantage.Experience of working in a patient administration area and PAS(Patient Administration System) would also be an advantage.
Afull programme of training and induction will be given along with theopportunities for professional development in a supportive environment.

Dayto day management of administration staff including monitoring attendance.
Respondto telephone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner, taking responsibilityfor returning any follow up calls.
Obtaincomplete information for each patient attendance and record any changes ontothe Patient Administration System in a timely and accurate way.

Ensurebooking of patients is administered effectively and to the benefit of thepatients.
Ensurethat all patents are booked within Trust target times.
Dayto day management of administration staff including monitoring attendance,overseeing rotas, approving leave, and HR issues.
Respondto telephone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner, taking responsibilityfor returning any follow up calls.
Providecover and reception clinics as allocated in a friendly and efficient manner
Obtaincomplete information for each patient attendance and record any changes ontothe Patient Administration System in a timely and accurate way.
Anyother clerical duties, IE, filing as may be necessary.
Youwill be required to adhere to all Trust policies. Of particular import withinthe Trusts Outpatient Management Policy and Outpatient Waiting List Policy
