Who we are looking for

Global Treasury IT is currently seeking a senior functional expert for the Finastra Summit application who will be responsible for delivering functional changes to support our technology architecture roadmap and new business growth.

The successful candidate will be involved in all levels of the software development cycle from requirements definition, design/development, and system test and quality assurance. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding for the Finastra Summit application functionality and what we can leverage or not in order to deliver solutions to the business. The candidate will also have strong business and technology acumen, a keen ability to build partnerships and foster close collaboration, and ability to drive solutions with various IT vendors, market service providers, and internal partners.

What you will be responsible for

As a Summit Application Functional Analyst /Business Analyst you will

  • Requires an in-depth knowledge of financial products, familiarity with fixed income, capital markets, interest rate derivative products.
  • Understanding of trade settlements workflow controls, the effect of operational breakdowns; and a good understanding of front-to-back processes within a multifaceted trading environment.
  • Candidate will need to have extensive experience with trade capture, rate reset process, profit and loss reporting and risk analysis as it applies to a derivative, (including IRS, Futures, Caps/Floors, FRAs, Swaptions), and securities.
  • Candidate should be familiar with the changing Regulatory landscape and how it affects the trade process. The candidate must have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Candidate will interact with several different teams including front office, back office, risk, compliance, and accounting. Experience with FCM’s, CCPs, Markitwire and Summit/Bloomberg preferred.
  • Engage with the business, IT, and downstream project members to design and agree and document end to end functional requirements
  • Identify and resolve any potential dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Provide input to the implementation plans to ensure efficient and successful implementation
  • Input ideas into the coverage of test scenarios and conditions ensuring a comprehensive test strategy with the QA team
  • Be aware of product and market trends of how treasury technology is evolving in order to bring new solution ideas to State Street
