Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Manager for a GIS extension project at a National Grid substation. This position focuses on overseeing operations, ensuring project compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders. Successful candidates will have proven experience in HV infrastructure projects, particularly 132kV, and must hold valid certifications. The role is offered under CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE arrangements, providing competitive pay rates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing substation or HV infrastructure projects (preferably 132kV or above).
• Familiarity with GIS installation and commissioning.
• Valid SR163 certification or demonstrable experience on NG sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and ensure safe, timely delivery of the 2-bay GIS extension.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project milestones.
• Ensure full compliance with National Grid protocols, including SR163.
• Maintain site documentation, progress reports, and quality assurance records.
• Liaise with stakeholders including NG, Galloper representatives, and local authorities.
