We seek a practitioner of Computer Science to shape and lead an already strong and innovative area of our curriculum. This Subject Leader post may be of interest to an emerging specialist leader joining a well-established team, where coaching will be provided by an experienced Director of Computing and Technology, or to a more seasoned specialist looking for a fresh professional challenge.
We have learners of Computer Science at KS3, KS4, and A level, with vocational IT pathway offered at KS4. This is an exciting time to join the school, with the opportunity to shape the curriculum considering emerging needs from the recent Curriculum and Assessment Review. The successful candidate will lead on developing a forward thinking curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. They will also contribute to the development of the School's Digital Strategy, taking an active role in enhancing both the teaching and effective use of Artificial Intelligence across the curriculum. The successful candidate will motivate and inspire both staff and students, demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills or potential, and be committed to inclusion and the well-being of every young person. Importantly, they will also have strong subject knowledge.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore, the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
