Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to manage the Water Retaining Barrier works at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. This fully site-based role requires a construction or engineering qualification and significant civils delivery experience. Candidates must have leadership skills, hold necessary certifications, and have BPSS clearance. This 12-month contract offers up to £440/day, with a start date as early as March, subject to security clearance.

Sub Agent - Water Retaining Barrier

Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
Contract: 12-month contract (likely extension)
Start: ASAP (realistically March, subject to clearance)
Hours: Monday-Friday, site based, 45 hours per week
Rate: Up to £440/day (Umbrella PAYE)

The Role

An experienced Sub Agent is required to support delivery of the Water Retaining Barrier works at Devonport Dockyard, a live MOD/Royal Navy facility. The role is fully site-based and involves managing engineering, subcontractors, safety, quality, programme, and commercial inputs within a secure environment.

BPSS clearance is required (can take up to 8 weeks).
Candidates must hold a NATO or MISWG passport and have 5 years UK residency.

Requirements
Essential
  • Construction or engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ or equivalent)

  • Experience with lifting operations
Desirable
  • ICE IEng (or equivalent)
