An education support agency in Bristol is recruiting a student support assistant to work with apprentices aged 16+ in construction training. You will mentor and coach young people with additional needs, helping them stay motivated and succeed. The ideal candidate should be proactive and resilient, with experience in supporting students with SEND. A full driving licence is essential, along with the ability to provide references and undergo a DBS check. The role offers free training and support while working.
Five Education is recruiting a confident, resilient and proactive student support assistant to work with apprentices aged 16+ who are training for careers in construction. This is a unique and rewarding role that blends learning support with mentoring and coaching, helping young people overcome barriers, stay motivated and succeed in their training programmes. You will be working with learners who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, supporting them both academically and pastorally.
A full driving licence is essential as students travel to various training sites and workshops.
Please note, if you do not have a Non‑Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS. There will also be an interview.
