Overview

Structural Design Engineer – Cambridge. £40k-£45k plus benefits.

Our client has an opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer to join their Cambridge office. You will become part of a talented group of structural engineering professionals.

You will work on a diverse range of new-build and refurbishment projects, including high-end private residential dwellings and large-scale mixed-use developments, as well as projects in sectors such as office and commercial, education, arts, healthcare, life sciences and industry.

Responsibilities
  • Support the team by undertaking design calculations and assisting with the delivery of design packages.
  • Attend design team meetings and site visits, report writing, and related activities.
  • As you become embedded in the practice, you will have the opportunity to lead and run your own projects with ongoing support.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with good theoretical and practical knowledge of designing in the main structural building materials: concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
Training, Development & Career Progression
  • You will join accredited IStructE and/or ICE training programmes with tailored mentoring and coaching, helping you progress towards CEng status.
  • The role offers significant opportunity for future promotion.
