A leading utility company in Glasgow is seeking a Strategic Vendor Manager to oversee the global vendor and contract portfolio while driving the development of a mature Vendor Management function. The successful candidate will manage strategic relationships, lead contract renewals, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure service delivery against KPIs. Permanent, Hybrid Working (2-3 days per week in office)
Salary: £65-82K (plus up to 20% bonus, car allowance and family healthcare cover)
We''re looking for a Strategic Vendor Manager to join our Digital Transformation team and take ownership of managing our global vendor and contract portfolio. This is a pivotal role where you''ll oversee strategic relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment with our objectives and driving the development of a mature Vendor Management function.
You'll lead the planning and execution of timely contract renewals and new agreements, manage contractual frameworks and budgets, and work closely with senior stakeholders throughout the process. Your focus will include strategic vendor services planning, service delivery against KPIs, and developing new performance measures to ensure continuous improvement.
This role demands strong relationship management skills, both with global suppliers and internal teams, as well as a deep understanding of negotiation strategies and procurement processes. You''ll ensure adherence to policies across the contract and procurement landscape while identifying opportunities to enhance value and efficiency.
