Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Strategic Transitions Manager to join their Private Capital department on a permanent, full-time basis. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the implementation of system upgrades and new technologies within Fund Services, supporting business growth across asset classes such as private equity, debt, and real estate. You will be responsible for managing the transition of operational projects into business-as-usual functions, collaborating closely with local and global stakeholders to deliver innovative, risk-mitigated solutions and efficient service models.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Strategic Transition on key departmental initiatives
  • Lead local implementation and upgrades of Fund Services systems
  • Assist in the development of new business opportunities and enhance client service delivery
  • Design and present fund product solutions to support revenue growth
  • Improve operational efficiency by developing automated and innovative solutions
  • Ensure all process changes adhere to relevant regulatory principles
  • Act as an escalation point for system enhancements and business implementation issues
  • Provide operational project management support, ensuring delivery of governance reporting and stakeholder alignment
  • Oversee project handovers into operational teams and ensure appropriate communication plans are in place
  • Foster cross-location collaboration with internal engineering, operations, and onboarding teams
  • Identify opportunities to refine target operating models and improve overall fund service efficiency
  • Participate in cross-location workstreams and manage client migrations and new business implementations
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments as required during peak periods or in line with operational demand
Qualifications
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of fund structures and private equity vehicles (GP/LP/Feeder/Master structures)
  • Demonstrated experience in systems implementation processes including design and testing
  • Sound accounting knowledge, ideally supported by qualifications such as LIMA, ACCA or equivalent (qualified or part-qualified)
  • Minimum of 3 years\' experience in the funds industry in either an operations or client-facing capacity
  • Proven record in delivering successful system implementations
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, valuation, and accounting disclosures
  • Applied knowledge of VBA/macro coding and working experience with platforms such as Efront (FIA) is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a forward-looking and proactive approach
  • Must complete a minimum of 25 hours of CPD training per annum
  • Awareness of current accounting regulations and industry standards
