The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies, achieve the best contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Positions require a thorough understanding and mastery of application and methodology in a concrete organizational context.

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Defining supplier strategy—including management and optimization of supplier panels.
  • Leading negotiations and allocating needs to specific suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions, and transmitting information to Procurement.
  • Managing claims; including commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiation support, etc., and may also include purchasing activities.
  • Advising functional managers or other functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures in their field.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems.
  • Leading as a project leader of medium‑sized projects or as a major contributor to larger projects; typical goals take 3‑6 months to complete, with the time horizon for results/impact typically 2‑12 months after the event.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in sourcing).
  • Possess a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in commodity management.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
