Stores Operative - Manufacturing

Hourly rate: £14.75

Location: Andover

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:15 & Friday: 06:00 - 14:00

We are seeking an organised, detail-focused Stores Operative to join the twilight team at a high-tech electronics manufacturing facility. You'll play a vital role in managing materials, supporting internal departments, and ensuring accurate inventory flow within a dynamic production environment.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in warehousing, stores, or logistics in manufacturing – particularly electronics – or those with transferable skills and a keen eye for process accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Manage stock using the internal MRP/ERP system, including booking in, locating, and issuing materials
  • Pick, pack, and deliver stock to internal departments as per requisitions
  • Perform kitting for box build and assembly lines (basic and complex kits)
  • Support stock accuracy through system transactions and physical checks
  • Relocate, count, and track materials using tools such as x‑ray counters and vacuum packing
  • Assist with annual stock checks and ongoing cycle counts
Requirements
  • Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, structured production environment
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain clean record‑keeping
Desirable
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or electronics stores
  • Understanding of FIFO, kitting, stock control, and inventory systems
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP, SYSPRO, etc.)
